Job summary

Elizabethtown Community Hospital seeks a Laboratory Manager to lead daily laboratory operations across Elizabethtown and Ticonderoga locations. You will manage personnel, budget inputs, teaching, and test management while ensuring top-tier customer service and policy adherence.

The role requires a BS in Medical Technology (or equivalent), internship, and preferred NYS CLT licensure. ASCP/NCA certification is highly recommended and collaboration with the Medical Director is routine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or hospital-based internship required.
• ASCP, NCA or equivalent certification is highly recommended.
• Meets NYS DOH 58-2.4 supervisor requirements described in regulations.
• NYSED License as Clinical Laboratory Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations and staff performance.
• Manage budgets, quality metrics and cost control.
• Supervise testing processes and LIS maintenance with Medical Director coordination.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and compliance with policies.
