Job summary

Altasciences in the United States is seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead laboratory operations, ensure GLP compliance, and optimize workflows. You will supervise SOPs, train staff, and coordinate equipment maintenance to deliver accurate preclinical data.

The role requires a science degree with 6+ years in lab management (or a Master's with 4+ years) in FDA/EPA regulated environments; experience with ELISAs, multiplex bead assays, flow cytometry, and qPCR; strong data interpretation and MS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with 6+ years lab management experience.
  • Master's degree in a scientific discipline with 4+ years lab management experience may substitute.
  • Lab Management in an FDA or EPA regulated facility required.
  • GLP method validation and performance of in-vitro assays for preclinical studies.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and ensure adherence to SOPs and GLP regulations.
  • Coordinate equipment validation or repair as needed.
  • Ensure materials and equipment comply with safety policies and GLP guidelines.
  • Instruct and mentor others in proper laboratory techniques.
  • Evaluate workflow for improvements in operational efficiencies.

Reviews data for accuracy and compliance with SOPs and GLP specifications. Trains other laboratory staff in technical procedures. Evaluates and optimizes utilization of laboratory resources to attain operational goals, meet study deadlines, and deliver quality results.
