Job Description

The role involves performing qualifications on instruments not located in Lancaster-controlled laboratories, including:

• Performing and documenting qualifications on laboratory instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, KF, UV-Vis)
• Urgent repairs on consumables (lamps, pumps, seals, tubing)
• Development, calibration, and repair of pipettes
• Verifying system readiness for open access instruments
• Executing scheduled and post-maintenance qualifications
• Troubleshooting routine calibration issues
• Assisting with instrument upgrades testing
• Reporting metrics and documenting service activities
• On-site vendor escort for maintenance activities

Qualifications

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with self-motivation and adaptability
• Willingness to learn new techniques and perform multiple tasks
• Bachelor's degree in physical sciences or related field, or equivalent experience (two years of industry experience equals one year of college)
• Authorization to work permanently in the United States without restriction or sponsorship

• Position is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living near Indianapolis, IN are encouraged to apply.
