Job summary

Verista is seeking a hands-on Laboratory IT Support SME to support lab computing environments and instrumentation across R&D labs, with a focus on CSV activities. The role bridges IT and scientific operations, partnering with scientists, vendors, and enterprise IT to ensure compliant lab operations.

You will troubleshoot across OS, applications, and instrument connectivity, install scientific software, and coordinate with vendors during instrument onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Experience supporting lab environments in pharma/biotech.
• Hands-on with instrument-connected PCs and IT troubleshooting.
• Experience with computer system validation (GxP).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support for lab PCs and instrument-connected systems.
• Install, upgrade, configure scientific and laboratory software.
• Onboard new lab instruments and coordinate with vendors.
• Primary IT contact for lab users; manage Windows, AD, networking, backups.
• Contribute to IQ/OQ validation activities and change controls.
• Work across two locations: Cambridge and Norton; occasional off-hours.
