MainStreet Family Care Milledgeville laboratory is seeking a Laboratory General Supervisor to lead real-time PCR testing and related high-complexity procedures. You will supervise daily testing, ensure accuracy, and maintain compliance with CLIA and regulatory standards in a busy urgent care setting.

Ideal candidates have molecular testing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with clinicians and staff to support efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• Medical laboratory certification or a CLIA-compliant Bachelor's degree.
• Two years of clinical laboratory experience, including molecular or PCR testing.
• Experience with high-complexity molecular testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CLIA high-complexity real-time PCR testing per protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Collect, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens.
• Accurately document laboratory results in the EMR.
• Perform quality control, calibration, and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with providers and lab staff to support operations and supervise daily testing activities.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Laboratory General Supervisorto join our clinical team in the Milledgeville, GA area. This role plays a vital part in deliveringaccurate,timelydiagnostic results through high-complexity real-time PCR testing and other laboratory procedures that directlyimpactpatient care.

The Laboratory General Supervisoris responsible forall testing duties, quality standards, and MainStreet Family Care values. This position supports providers and lab techs by producing reliable laboratory results that enable efficient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CLIA high-complexity, real-time PCR testingin accordance withestablished protocols and regulatory requirements
• Collect, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens
• Accurately document laboratory results in the electronic medical record
• Perform quality control procedures, calibration, and routine maintenance on laboratory equipment
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
• Prepare and manage specimens for internal and external testing as needed
• Monitor laboratory inventory, reagents, andexpirationdates
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report testing discrepancies, equipment issues, or quality concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient operations
• Providing supervision for day-to-day test performance

Minimum Qualifications

• Medical laboratory certification, or aBachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science that is compliant with CLIA standards.
• Two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience, including molecular or PCR-based testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Five (5) years of clinical laboratory experience
• Experience performing high-complexity real-time PCR testing in a regulated laboratory environment
• Experience in urgent care, primary care, or high-volume clinical settings

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Proficiencyin real-time PCR and molecular diagnostic techniques
• Knowledge of high-complexity laboratory testing standards and CLIA requirements
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance practices
• Ability to troubleshoot testing and equipment issues

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Schedule

• Approximately 30-40hoursper week
• 10-hour shifts, scheduled across 7 days per week
• Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Schedule may vary based on operational and testing volume needs
