Position: Laboratory Engineering Technician In Training

Location: Seattle/Bellevue Metro area

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.
• Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractors regarding site, project requirements, testing, and inspection results.
• Transport material samples with documentation to the laboratory for testing within the Seattle/Bellevue area.
• Prepare and submit data and observations in reports, both written and digital, for daily review by the Project Manager.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
• Adhere to strict safety standards and report safety concerns.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with basic testing and observations under supervision.
• Document findings clearly and accurately.
• Communicate results to the Laboratory Manager and discuss data accuracy.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment.
• Follow safety practices and perform pre-task planning.
• Ensure quality standards are met on all projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

Compensation

The expected salary range is $21.25 - $29.75 per hour, adjustable based on location, qualifications, and experience.
