We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in assisting with the remediation of technical incidents and data quality issues within our enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) system, supporting the overall integrity and security of our application environment. You will work closely with the Manager of Tech Support and other team members, utilizing industry-standard tools such as ServiceNow and AWS while continuously developing your technical skills.


You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Assist in the remediation of technical incidents and data quality issues as directed by the Manager of Tech Support

  • Perform initial triage of incidents, gathering relevant information to aid in swift resolution

  • Follow established protocols to ensure compliance with data security standards while handling sensitive information

  • Utilize ServiceNow to log and track incidents, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates

  • Support the maintenance of cloud infrastructure using AWS tools under supervision

  • Collaborate with team members to learn best practices in data engineering and incident management

  • Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and understanding of UHG enterprise Master Data Management application

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on incident tracking processes and tools

  • Communicate effectively with team members and escalate complex issues to senior staff as needed

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with stakeholders

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

  • 6+ months of experience with IT support processes and familiarity with incident management tools like ServiceNow or similar

  • 3+ months of experience with AWS or any other cloud infrastructure support

  • 3+ months of experience with MS office tools like Excel, Power point, Word, Outlook

  • Ability to work on weekends or on calls when required


Preferred Skills:



  • Ability to follow protocols for data security and handling sensitive information

  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in identifying issues

  • Effective communication skills for collaboration within a team environment

  • Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills related to UHG enterprise Master Data Management application

  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and incidents efficiently

  • Demonstrated customer service skills and professionalism in interactions with stakeholders

The salary range for this role is $19.86 to $38.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
