Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Laboratory Director in the United States to lead lab operations, drive profitability, and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies. The role includes balancing budgets, mentoring staff, and maintaining strong customer relations while aligning with Eurofins’ mission and safety standards.

The position emphasizes oversight of lab processes, coordination with QA, and collaboration with multiple functions to achieve business goals.

Qualifications

• BS in a science-related field preferred.
• 5 years management experience.
• 5 years analytical experience or related technical knowledge.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, and speak).

Responsibilities

• Manages the laboratory to provide positive operating margin and meet annual budgetary goals.
• Maintains the culture of the lab and drives employee engagement.
• Builds and maintains positive customer relationships and drives sales growth.
• Establishes and maintains a positive safety culture and ensures safety procedures are followed.
• Collaborates with QA to ensure SOPs are implemented and reviewed for compliance.
• Prioritizes operations to achieve goals and address customer needs.
• Provides periodic reports to the Business Unit Manager on goals and opportunities.
• Works with Project Managers and Customer Service Managers to forecast receipts and meet on-time delivery.
• Leads sales strategy development with the Business Team; occasional travel required.
