Job summary

Charles River is seeking a laboratory professional to handle and process samples and perform accurate data collection under GLP guidelines. The role involves documenting procedures, aiding in instrument operation and data analysis, and supporting study deviations with supervision.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in a lab science field and at least one year of related experience, with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science or related discipline required.
• At least 1 year related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capabilities; understanding of GLPs and SOPs.
• Proficiency in MS Office and standard laboratory calculations; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process samples and perform accurate data collection and reporting.
• Document procedures and results in compliance with GLPs, protocols and SOPs.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and PI teams.
• Assist with inventory of consumables and lab supplies.
• Write deviations for study and non-study activities; participate in process improvements.
• Operate laboratory instruments and perform data analysis using appropriate software.
• Contribute to training of new staff as needed.
