Job summary

The Veterinary Service Center within the Department of Comparative Medicine at Stanford University is seeking a full-time Custodian to perform a variety of custodial duties in a research environment. Shifts are typically Monday–Friday with specific start times, and workers must comply with safety and PPE requirements.

Primary responsibilities include cleaning floors and common areas, disposing trash, maintaining cleaning supplies, and reporting maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• One year custodial experience preferred.
• Good written and oral communication in English.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean a variety of floors and surfaces using cleaners and equipment.
• Remove trash and debris from interiors and exteriors surrounding buildings.
• Clean bathrooms, common areas, kitchens and other facilities.
• Report emergencies, damages, and maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules and wear uniforms and PPE as required.
