Job summary

The Veterinary Service Center at Stanford University is seeking a full-time Custodian to perform a variety of custodial duties within a laboratory environment. Work includes cleaning floors, bathrooms, common areas, and supporting facilities with strict safety protocols.

Candidates should be prepared for variable shifts, wear PPE, and comply with health and safety requirements in a research setting. Prior custodial experience preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• One year custodial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning and waxing methods, materials and equipment is desirable, on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean a variety of floors and floor coverings using cleaners, waxers, buffers, shampoers, and related equipment.
• Clean, sanitize bathrooms and common areas; remove trash and debris; maintain upkeep of kitchens and rest areas.
• Report emergencies, damages, and maintenance needs; ensure safety and proper use of chemicals and PPE.
