Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center in Enola, PA is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator to oversee daily collection, processing and delivery of specimens to the laboratory, ensuring accuracy and timely workflow.

The role provides education and training, facilitates problem solving, and serves as a resource for communications with other health care providers, applying expertise in pre-analytical processes, client services and billing, with emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical laboratory technician, phlebotomy, or other specialized laboratory training is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical laboratory environment.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position provides daily oversight for the collection, processing and delivery of all specimens flowing into the laboratory. Additionally, this role facilitates education, training, problem solving and serves as a resource for communications with other health care providers. Provides expertise in all pre-analytical laboratory processes, client services, and billing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical laboratory technician, phlebotomy, or other specialized laboratory training required.
• Minimum of two (2) years previous experience working in a clinical laboratory environment.
