Job summary

HW Staffing Solutions is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Laboratory Cleaner & Glassware Washer in Hauppauge, NY. This part-time role (20 hours/week) offers a pay rate of $19.80 per hour, with Monday–Friday morning shifts focused on cleaning and sanitation in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities include floor cleaning, glassware washing and storage, and ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic understanding of cleaning, sanitation, and workplace safety practices.
• Ability to follow written instructions and established cleaning procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently within the scheduled shift.
• Familiarity with chemical safety practices is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sweep, mop, and disinfect laboratory floors in accordance with SOPs.
• Wash, rinse, dry, and store laboratory glassware such as beakers, flasks, and pipettes.
• Ensure glassware is free of residues and meets cleanliness standards.
• Operate manual and/or automated glassware washing equipment as needed.
• Prevent cross-contamination by separating clean and used glassware.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE while handling cleaning chemicals.
• Report damaged glassware or equipment malfunctions promptly.
