Job summary

UVA Health Prince William Medical Center in Manassas, VA, is seeking a Laboratory Associate to perform moderate and high complexity testing under the Laboratory Manager. You will conduct routine testing, quality control, instrument maintenance, and timely reporting of results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Sciences with 24 semester hours in science including 6 in chemistry, 6 in biology, and 12 in chemical/biological sciences.
• 1 year of laboratory testing experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with healthcare workers and patients; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and high complexity testing under supervision.
• Conduct quality control testing and instrument maintenance.
• Call critical results to appropriate providers and report test results.
