Job summary

Summa Health seeks a detail-oriented Specimen Processing technician for the Akron City campus. This 40-hour, 2nd shift position performs routine lab tests, initial sample prep, specimen collection, and clerical tasks in a biohazard environment. Candidate should have a high school diploma and at least 6 months of clerical experience, healthcare preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Six months experience with clerical tasks.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to work in bio-hazardous areas and handle test results with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Performs a limited number of routine laboratory tests and initial sample preparation.
• Collects specimens, distributes samples to work areas, and performs clerical functions.
