Functions under routine supervision to perform specimen collection, handling and processing tasks; receive and respond to client inquiries and requests; reviews requisitions for appropriate test orders, diagnosis codes, date and signature of physician, and legibility; scans requisitions into the medical record; perform chain of custody collections; monitors medical necessity and insurance verification. Follows HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy and protection.
