Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood specimens, process orders, and ensure specimen integrity in a clinical setting in Templeton, CA. You will handle registration, labeling, accessioning, and transport preparation for testing.

The ideal candidate holds CPT I and BLS certifications, with High School Diploma or GED and preferred additional education. Prior phlebotomy experience in acute or clinical care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood specimens using phlebotomy techniques for patients of all ages.
• Receives, labels, accession, processes, and prepares specimens for testing.
• Verifies specimen integrity and follows protocols for handling, storage, and transport.
• Performs patient registration, test order entry, and related documentation.
• Packages and prepares specimens for transport to reference laboratories when required.
• Maintains accurate laboratory records and quality control logs.
• Monitors workflow, prioritizes urgent specimens, and coordinates recollection when necessary.
• Maintains supplies, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Communicates lab information and assists with inquiries and test order clarification.
• Provides excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
• Operates basic laboratory equipment according to established procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned
