Duties include venipuncture and capillary collection across age groups, processing and transporting specimens, assisting microbiology and histology sections, and ensuring accurate patient identification and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Formal phlebotomy training preferred.
• Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection across age groups.
• Process and transport specimens to appropriate sub-departments.
• Assist microbiology and histology as needed.
• Answer phones, relay messages, and file test results.
• Maintain records of standing orders for outpatients.
