Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii is seeking a Laboratory Assistant for Straub Benioff Medical Center in Honolulu, HI. The role supports patient care through specimen handling, processing, and storage in a compliant lab environment.

Walking through responsibilities includes phlebotomy basics, safety adherence, and continuous quality control in a biosafety setting. This is a full-time position with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment (centrifuges, computers, alarms).
• Experience in clinical laboratory or data entry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure specimens are collected, processed, prepared, routed, and stored correctly.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
• Work in a lab with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
