Job Summary

Collect blood specimens, handle and process specimens for laboratory testing, and perform related tasks including data entry, specimen handling, and quality assurance. Operate basic lab equipment and adhere to all safety and privacy regulations to ensure optimal patient care.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required in CA; preferred in OR and HI.
  • Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in phlebotomy in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPTI) license required in CA; preferred in OR and HI.
  • Phlebotomy Tech (CPT) or Certified Phlebotomy Technician II (CPTII) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Essential Functions

  • Collect, handle, and transport blood specimens; provide post-phlebotomy care.
  • Ensure specimen integrity and proper documentation.
  • Maintain supplies, manage workflow, and communicate results effectively.
  • Assist with incoming calls and coordinate specimen collection and processing.

Organizational Requirements
