Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of laboratory terminology and tests.
• Experience with phlebotomy and specimen collection protocols.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties including computer entry and filing.
• Greets patients and visitors in a polite and friendly manner.
• Demonstrates good communication and test terminology knowledge.
• Shows working knowledge of phlebotomy equipment and specimen collection.
• Processes pathology, microbiology, immunology, hematology, and blood bank specimens.
• Stocks and orders routine supplies and maintains clean work areas.
• Assists in technical tasks under supervision and otherwise follows established policy.
