Job summary

Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is seeking a part-time Laboratory Assistant 2 to collect and process patient specimens for lab testing. You will assist in the Phlebotomy department and report to department leadership. Schedule is Mon-Fri 7am-11am with pay starting between $23-$24 per hour.

Weekly earned wage access is available for this position. Two years of laboratory experience and advanced knowledge of laboratory procedures and systems are required to perform waived and moderate complex testing

• Advanced knowledge of laboratory procedures and systems.
• Two years of laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and moderate complex laboratory testing and reports results back to ordering provider.
• Perform venipuncture or capillary puncture on patients of all ages.
• Follow sterile procedure appropriate technique and approved collection equipment to obtain required specimens for testing.
• Label specimens correctly and deliver to proper testing area.
• Process sample for test analysis for waived and moderate tests.
• Process all specimens requiring preparation for referral to reference labs.
• Maintain laboratory report and files in orderly and proper condition.
• You will perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Job Purpose or Objective(s): As a Laboratory Assistant 2, you will collect and process patient specimens for lab testing. You will obtain and communicate appropriate information concerning patient specimens and reports. You will assist in the Phlebotomy department, You will report to department leadership.
