Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a capable laboratory operations team member in Dallas, Texas. The role focuses on proper processing of patient specimens, safe handling of samples, and daily lab routines on a 3rd shift.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior training or experience in specimen collection or processing, and strong reading, writing and data-entry skills. Training lasts 4–6 weeks with comprehensive benefits provided.

  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills required.
  • Ability to operate general lab equipment (phones, computers, centrifuges, alarms).
  • Good keyboard typing and data entry skills.

  • Ensure specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed, and stored.
  • Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
  • Work in a lab with PPE requirements and biological hazards.
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.

***Training will take place on 1st shift, 4-6 weeks***

Location: Dallas, Texas

Hours: 8:00 pm - 4:30 am

Days: Monday - Friday

Full-Time/Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:
  • Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure laboratory specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed, and stored.
  • Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions.
  • Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control
All you need is:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing
  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, centrifuges, and audible alarms.
  • Good computer, keyboard typing and data entry skills.
