AdventHealth Minneola's 80-bed hospital will provide inpatient care, including an emergency department, full-service imaging, operating suites, endoscopy, outpatient laboratory, heart catheterization labs, and critical care rooms. We deliver comprehensive clinical solutions for the mind, body, and spirit.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Laboratory Assistant I supports laboratory procedures, including specimen collection and processing, ensuring compliance with department standards. The role involves practical knowledge of laboratory functions.

• Collects patient, physician, and test order information, verifying identification, insurance, and test requirements.
• Performs blood specimen collection, including phlebotomy and skin puncture for all ages.
• Maintains laboratory equipment, performs function checks, and documents activities.
• Receives and processes patient specimens, including centrifugation and transportation as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Education or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if required by facility
