Kaiser Permanente seeks a Lab Assistant in Seattle to perform pre-analytic lab duties and possible waived testing. Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant certification within 6 months, and BLS within 3 months. Evening/Night shifts with on-site work and opportunities to teach phlebotomy.
THIS IS A 10-HOUR SHIFT 9PM TO 0730AM, 7 DAYS A WEEK THEN 7 DAYS OFF.
Job Summary
The Lab Assistant performs the pre-analytic phases of laboratory testing procedures and may also perform the analytic and post analytic phases of waived testing procedures. Duties include face to face and telephone customer service; computer data entry and retrieval, workplace cleanliness and maintenance. S/he is responsible for documentation of all activities, monitoring supplies, and compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements related to safety and lab testing. Responsible for following KP Laboratory policies and procedures.
