Kaiser Permanente in Renton, WA is seeking a Technical Assistant to support pre-analytic laboratory workflows. The role may include assisting in analytical and post-analytic waived testing, loading specimens, reagents, and performing routine instrument maintenance.
Emphasis on accuracy, documentation, and safety. The position requires strong communication and customer service skills, basic computer proficiency, and a High School Diploma or GED.
The Technical Assistant performs the pre-analytic phases of laboratory testing procedures and may also perform the analytic and post analytic phases of waived testing procedures, loading of specimen and quality control material for testing on instruments, loading of reagents and appropriate documentation, and routine instrument maintenance. Other duties include: responsibility for documentation of all activities, monitoring supplies; compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements related to safety and laboratory testing; face to face and telephone customer service; computer data entry and retrieval; workplace cleanliness and maintenance, training, and point-of-care testing.
