FIVE Labs in San Diego is seeking a Lab Assistant to support the planning and execution of surgical training programs. On-site role involving setup, instrumentation, and inventory management to ensure smooth program delivery.
You will work with sponsors, clients, and Account Managers to document requirements, prepare specimens, and maintain a tour-ready facility. Weekend and evening availability may be required; occasional travel to other sites could occur.

The Lab Assistant plays a critical role in the successful planning and execution of
each program held FIVE Labs San Diego and other off‑site locations as assigned. This position includes working with program sponsors, colleagues, and Account Managers to understand, plan, and document requirements needed as well as to orchestrate and execute programs.
They are responsible for setting up, supporting, and tearing down after each assigned program held
in the facility. The position also over sees the surgical instruments, equipment, specimen, and supply inventory needed to execute programs. You must be on‑site the entirety of each assigned program to assure the needs of attendees and program sponsors are met and held to a high standard.
This role supports overall site operations, including site maintenance, management of equipment, planning lab support staff, assisting in audio visual needs and contracting equipment providers. This role will work closely with the Client Services Managers and Account Managers to ensure each client’s overall expectations are met and exceeded.
This is a Full‑time position requiring flexibility with frequently scheduled weekends, early morning, and evening responsibilities. Tasks are performed in a surgical environment with exposure to cadavers, odors, radiation hazard, blood‑borne pathogens, and complex equipment/instrumentation. This role requires frequently lifting of heavy boxes, cases, and items. Occasional travel to other FIVE Labs facilities may be required to support events located in Atlanta, Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Antonio, Tampa and future sites.
