Job summary

Medical City Fort Worth is hiring a Laboratory Assistant to receive and process specimens and perform basic lab procedures. The role includes greeting patients, explaining procedures, answering calls and emails, and maintaining records as part of the patient care team.

You will obtain lab samples, ensure supplies are stocked, and deliver excellent customer service across a wide patient age range, from infant to geriatric, as part of a dedicated healthcare team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• High school students enrolled in HOSA/HOE program may be considered.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain lab samples by venipuncture and other methods.
• Check and maintain supplies for work assignments.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering phones, charting results, and assisting patients.
• Serve a wide age range from infants to geriatrics.

The Laboratory Assistant receives and processes specimens and carries out basic laboratory procedures. What You Will Do In This Role:

• Responsible for excellent customer service through various duties including answering telephone calls, charting patient results, and other duties as needed

Qualifications

• *High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required
• *High school students will be considered provided they are enrolled in a Health Occupations Vocation Program (HOSA/HOE)
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred
