Job Description

Clinical testing company seeks a Lab Assistant who will perform various routine laboratory functions in a precise and accurate fashion to assist the laboratory professional staff and facilitate production.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Provides support for the assigned lab department.
• Picks up samples from accessioning and sorts them into appropriate racks.
• Answers phone and directs calls appropriately.
• Unpacks and stores reagents and supplies.
• Inventories and orders warehouse supplies.
• Sorts samples and distributes them to the appropriate setup hood. Manages specimen library within established time frames.
• Performs waived tests under supervision.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Medical assistant training is helpful. Math and science courses are preferred.

Special Requirements:

• Ability to establish work priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
