The Animal Sciences department at Colorado State University is a key department in the College of Agricultural Sciences. The Department of Animal Sciences is responsible for educating approximately 1000 undergraduate and 60 graduate students at any given time. Research, teaching, and engagement opportunities for this position occur at the Animal Sciences building on the main college campus and at the Agricultural Research Development & Education Center (ARDEC Fort Collins).

Seeking a motivated, organized, and professional employee to assist with a variety of lab duties. The individual must possess superior organizational skills; have demonstrated livestock handling skills; be competent in fistulated cattle husbandry and have good laboratory analytical skills.

Position Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D in animal sciences or closely related field.
• Previous experience with livestock handling.
• Previous experience working in an analytical chemistry laboratory.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience work as part of a team.
• Experience in feed and ration quality assurance.
• Experience managing animal welfare, care and use in a research setting.
