As a Laboratory Assistant, you will support the lab by performing essential cleaning and decontamination tasks, managing inventory of reagents and laboratory supplies, performing light calibration on instruments, and assisting lab technicians with various duties. You will also document actions performed into the computer maintenance system.

You will also document actions performed into the computer maintenance system.

Responsibilities

• Perform necessary cleaning and decontamination tasks in the laboratory.
• Manage the inventory of reagents and laboratory supplies.
• Perform light calibration on laboratory instruments.
• Assist lab technicians with additional duties as needed.
• Document actions and maintenance activities in the computer maintenance system.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Experience in a laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques.
• Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Proficiency in ordering and inventorying lab supplies.
• Ability to perform light instrument calibration.
• Strong data entry and processing skills.
  
  

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
• Strong communication skills.
  
  

Work Environment

The work environment is within a leading biotechnology organization. The position is designated as CRP Tech 1 and requires working weekend days from Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The base pay is $21.23 per hour, with an additional shift differential of $2.14 per hour, totaling $23.37 per hour. Note that shift differentials will change if the employee changes shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.23 - $23.37/hr.
