Job summary

SPL in Conroe, TX seeks a motivated Laboratory Assistant to support daily operations in our lab. You’ll care for glassware, manage supplies, and maintain accurate documentation while following established safety and quality procedures.

This full-time, onsite position offers opportunities to work across diverse lab activities and improve efficiency through teamwork and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hands-on lab experience or administrative/operational support experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain lab glassware, workstations, equipment, and sample coolers.
• Safely handle, store, and dispose of laboratory chemicals, solvents, samples, and waste.
• Fill and replenish lab containers while following proper handling and storage procedures.
• Monitor inventory and restock supplies, glassware, solvents, and other consumables as needed.
• Assist with routine equipment inspections, operational checks, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate lab records and documentation for quality and traceability.
• Follow SOPs, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with teammates and leadership to support daily activities and workflow efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We’re seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Conroe, TX.

In this hands-on support role, you’ll help keep our laboratory safe, organized, and ready for daily operations. You’ll care for glassware and equipment, manage supplies and materials, and maintain accurate documentation while supporting efficient workflows and following established safety and quality procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Clean and maintain lab glassware, workstations, equipment, and sample coolers

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline preferred
• Previous professional experience in an administrative, clerical, or operational support role within a structured work environment
• Hands-on lab experience through employment, internships, research, or coursework preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications

Work Schedule & Environment

• Full-time, onsite position
• Ability to work additional hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as operational needs require
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g. refrigerated sample coolers, hot/cold warehouse environments, etc.)
