Tufts University’s Office of University Research and Innovation is seeking a Laboratory Animal Caretaker in Boston, MA. The role involves daily husbandry of laboratory animals, monitoring room environments, and maintaining facilities to support research with multiple species.

Under supervision, you’ll perform cage changes, monitor equipment, and assist with general cleaning while adhering to safety and animal care protocols. In-person schedule is Monday–Friday with some weekend commitments.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work around animals.

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily husbandry and monitor room environment.
• Clean facilities and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Move heavy equipment related to animal housing and care; euthanize animals when trained.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
