Job summary

State of Wyoming's Department of Workforce Services seeks a Labor Standards Analyst to investigate, evaluate, and issue determinations on wage/hour and civil rights violations. The role involves independent adjudication, formal/informal procedures, and ADR to resolve complex claims.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 0–3 years (or 4–6 years substitution) in Labor Standards, and offers comprehensive benefits including health, retirement, and flexible schedules within a state

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (typically in Business)
  • 0-3 years of progressive work experience (Labor Standards)
  • OR 4-6 years of progressive work experience (Labor Standards)

Responsibilities

  • Advises claimants, charging parties, the public, workforce centers, attorneys, employers, and others concerning labor laws, unfair/illegal employment practices, wage and hour laws, and all other statutes enforced by Labor Standards.
  • Investigates and issues determinations on claims for wages.
  • Investigates and issues decisions on charges of employment discrimination, including legal analysis based on case law.
