Job summary

Vantage Point Consulting Inc. is seeking an experienced Labor Relations professional to advise internal clients on union contract compliance and disciplinary matters, while managing grievances through arbitration.

The role requires independent work with legal, business, and HR teams and supports bargaining and contract implementation. The position is hybrid in Universal City, CA, demanding strong organizational skills and confidentiality, with four days per week in the office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant labor relations experience.
• Proficiency with web-based databases and Microsoft Office suite including Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Advise internal clients regarding union contract compliance for bargaining units and topics.
• Advise on discipline of union employees, investigations, and rights to union representation.
• Handle union grievances through arbitration as assigned.
• Serve as the initial contact for union inquiries; triage issues, conduct research, provide responses.
• Support and execute union contract administration.
• Support collective bargaining, including preparation, research, contract implementation, and drafting.
• Provide training to HR and managers on assigned topics.
• Provide additional support to Labor & Employment department as needed.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Advise internal clients, including management and human resources, regarding union contract compliance for bargaining units and/or assigned topics
• Advise internal clients regarding discipline of union employees, including just cause standards, as applicable, investigations, and rights to union representation
• Responsible for handling union grievances through arbitration phase as assigned
• Serves as the initial point of contact for union inquiries and concerns; triage issues, conduct research, provide responses, facilitate labor-management meetings
• Support and execute union contract administration
• Support collective bargaining, including preparation, research, contract implementation, and drafting as assigned
• Provide training to HR and managers on assigned topics
• Provide additional support to Labor & Employment department as needed

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant labor relations experience
• Proficiency with web-based databases and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint

Additional Requirements:

• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
