Arconic Tennessee Operations invites qualified professionals for the role of Labor Relations HR Business Partner. This position provides counsel on labor relations, HR policies, and employee engagement across Operations, Maintenance, and Staff, including Union relations and arbitration processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required with minimum 3 years in labor relations or HR roles involving employees, managers, and unions.
  • Manufacturing experience highly preferred and legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Advise Plant leadership and HR on administration and application of the CBA and policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams as needed.
  • Lead grievance hearings and support arbitration presentations.
  • Provide one-stop HR support for assigned departments and teams.
  • Ensure plant-wide leadership of select HR functions and compliant hiring/promotion practices.

Arconic Tennessee Operations has an opportunity for a Labor Relations HR Business Partner. This opening is located at one of the most modern aluminum fabricating facilities in the world. Our plants produce high-quality molten metal and aluminum sheets and are recognized as a world leader in business. The facility has been located at the Foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains for 100 years and continues to thrive and grow.

Responsibiliti

esThis position is responsible for providing advice and counsel to internal partners on labor relations, HR policies, and programs related to employee engagement, job assignment and progression, talent planning, and other general human resource topics. The incumbent communicates continually with all levels of personnel and management in Operations, Maintenance, and Staff departments, as well as with Union representatives, the Union Bargaining Committee, the Plant Manager, HR staff, and the internal Legal and Compliance tea

Major Job Dutie
  • s:Provide advice and counsel to the Plant leadership and HR Manager on administration and proper application of CBA, policy interpretation and other human resources issues, as require
  • d.Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/require
  • d.Working with all levels of the organization, identify areas of opportunity and execute agreed upon plans to implement labor relations practices that improve efficiencies and flexibility of plant operation
  • s.Lead grievance hearings and resolve matters as appropriate. Prepare for and support Company Advocate on presenting arbitration case
  • s.Other assignments as necessary require labor relations expertise and consultation with the overall goal of fostering positive relation
  • s.As a business partner, provide one-stop HR support for his/her assigned department(s) and area(s) of functional responsibility, to include labor relation
  • s.Responsible for plant-wide leadership of select HR function
  • s.Responsible for taking action to ensure that all employment practices under his/her control, including hiring, promotions, demotions, and discipline are conducted in compliance with applicable collective bargaining agreements, equal employment opportunity laws and regulations, and Arconic policy and value
