Job summary

Polk County Public Schools in Bartow, FL seeks an Analyst, Labor and Employee Relations to support collective bargaining administration and employee evaluations. You will interpret agreements, prepare materials for hearings, and provide guidance to districts and schools.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in labor relations or 3 years in HR, with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access. This is a full-time onsite role with public service impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of successful experience in labor relations or collective bargaining, OR minimum of three (3) years of successful human resources experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of human resources processes and procedures.
• Ability to meet and deal professionally and courteously with District employees and the public.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups and effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of current computing technologies and software applications appropriate to the position's job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Interprets collective bargaining language and advises employees when necessary.
• Prepares case materials and schedules for hearings, grievances and other employee meetings.
• Assists in the preparation of documents and data for dismissal review hearings.
• Maintains data within HR systems and assists in negotiations/arbitrations.
