Job summary

Quality Labor Management (QLM) Jacksonville seeks a Labor Foreman for a large commercial project in Gainesville, FL. You’ll report to the Superintendent and help keep the site safe, productive, and on schedule.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 6:45am start, with overtime as needed; pay is negotiable based on experience and skill. Responsibilities include supervising crews, coordinating tasks, operating equipment, conducting safety briefings, and ensuring work quality per plans.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading construction crews.
• Able to operate lull, scissor lift and skid steer.
• Strong leadership, communication and organization skills.
• OSHA 10 preferred; OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid and equipment certs are a plus.
• Own PPE and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate labor crews, scaling as workforce grows from 20-30 to 100+.
• Assign daily tasks and manpower based on project phase and priorities.
• Operate equipment as needed (lull, scissor lift, skid steer).
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and site safety plans.
• Coordinate with other trade foremen to sequence work and avoid conflicts.
• Inspect work for quality and conformance to plans and specs.
• Track materials, tools, equipment, deliveries and staging.
• Keep daily logs of labor hours and site incidents, report to Superintendent.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate laborers; manage crew conflicts.
• Maintain a clean, organized site compliant with environmental rules.

You'll report directly to the Superintendent and play a key role in keeping the site safe, productive, and on schedule.The job is Monday-Friday starting at 6:45am, with overtime as needed. Pay is negotiable based on experience and skillet.

Pay Range

$26-$32 per hour

• Previous experience supervising or leading construction crews preferred
• Ability to operate a lull, scissor lift, and skid steer (or willingness to learn)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to read and follow plans and specifications
• OSHA 10 preferred; OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, and equipment certifications are a plus
• Outdoor and indoor construction site, exposure to weather, noise, and dust
• Ability to lift, climb, and stand or walk for extended periods
• Must have personal protective equipment (PPE)
