Miller Johnson, a Midwest law firm, is seeking a Practice Coordinator to support the Labor and Employment Practice Group in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. You will provide essential administrative support to practice group leadership to ensure efficient operations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in legal administration, strong MS Office skills, and a collaborative, detail-oriented approach to a fast-growing, service-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and provide client-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Support practice group leaders in daily operations and strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate meetings, agendas, materials, and follow-up items.
• Assist with firm-wide policies and initiatives communications.
• Manage monthly reporting: billable hours, AR, realization, collections, delegations.
• Support budget planning, expense reimbursements, and P&L review for the group.
• Assist with marketing materials, attorney bios, and pitch materials.
• Support associate training, performance reviews, and recruiting activities.
• Coordinate onboarding, transitions, and departures for attorneys.
