Job Details

We are seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney to join our team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of labor and employment law, outstanding communication skills, and an ability to handle complex legal issues. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of labor and employment related matters, including but not limited to, employee discipline, terminations, harassment, discrimination, wage and hour compliance, contract negotiations, and workplace investigations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, and other employment-related documents.
• Represent the organization in labor and employment related litigation, including the preparation of motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on various labor and employment laws, regulations, and court decisions.
• Develop and implement labor and employment policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Conduct training sessions for managers and employees on labor and employment law topics, such as harassment prevention, discrimination, and workplace rights and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with other members of the legal team and work closely with human resources and management to address and resolve labor and employment issues.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the MA state bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong emphasis on litigation.
• Proven experience in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• High ethical standards and professionalism.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
