Job summary

Lateral Link is assisting a repeat client and global firm seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its busy and dynamic group. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of handling and managing employment litigation matters and providing employment advice and counsel.

Relocation candidates will also be considered. The role features close interaction with partners, meaningful client work, and responsibility in a collaborative New Jersey setting.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of handling and managing employment litigation matters.
• Experience providing employment advice and counsel.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day employment counseling for clients.
• Review, draft and analyze employment agreements, handbooks, policies, severance agreements, and other employment documents.
• Handle employment litigation matters, including single-plaintiff and class actions, ERISA, wage-hour, and administrative charges.
• Take and defend depositions, manage written discovery, draft and argue motions, and examine witnesses at trial.
• Advise clients on sensitive personnel issues and policy review and implementation.
• Assist on traditional labor and NLRB matters.
• Contribute to employment aspects of due diligence in M&A transactions.
