Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for Labor and Delivery/Mother Baby RN to support the Nurse Manager in coordinating day-to-day operations at Baptist Medical Center South in Alabama. The role emphasizes leadership, staff mentorship, and adherence to nursing processes and quality standards within the hospital’s mission.

The position requires collaboration across shifts, effective communication, and the ability to supervise and train staff while maintaining patient care quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum 1 year staff nurse experience required in hospital areas, 3 years required in Oncology at MCC.
• Charge Nurse experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nurse Manager with the organization and implementation of day-to-day unit operations.
• Coach and mentor staff; serve as role model and provide direction in nursing processes and quality standards.
• Assist with interview/hiring processes, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, scheduling, and verification of competencies.
