Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Surgical Technology training program; or
• U. S. Military Medical Core Training; or
• Equivalent on-the-job training program
• One year surg tech experience.
• National certification as Surgical Technologist eligible and completed within six months of hire date from one of the following:
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA - renewed every 4 years; or
• Tech in Surgery - Certified by NCCT - renewed annually.
• Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates sterile technique and working knowledge of instrumentation for a variety of procedures.
• Position located in Bayfront Hospital, St. Petersburg, FL in the Labor Delivery unit, performing surgical tech duties.
