Job summary

MultiCare Health System is offering an RN Residency in Labor and Delivery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA. This 0.9 FTE, full-time position provides classroom instruction and hands-on clinical hours with experienced preceptors to develop autonomous, competent nursing practice in a hospital setting.

New graduates or experienced RNs transitioning to labor/delivery will gain skills across the care continuum with structured orientation and support, including evidence-based care and

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License (MLS).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP within 90 days of hire as required by department.
• TNCC, PEARS within 1 year of hire as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate, and delegate nursing functions across the lifespan of individuals, families, caregivers, and populations.
• Utilize the nursing process for care and health teaching in health maintenance and illness prevention.
• Function interdependently when executing a medical regimen under physician direction.
• Collaborate to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
