Job summary

The Mayo Clinic in Red Wing, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Nursing team. This full-time position features 12-hour night shifts, union contract compensation, and a focus on coordinated patient care within our Mayo Nursing Care Model.

You will provide direct patient care, educate patients and families, delegate appropriately, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe transitions of care. Current MN RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a registered nursing program.
• All entry-level associate degree RNs must obtain a BSN within five years of RN start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care and education.
• Support professional nursing practice across settings and transitions of care.
• Operate within the Mayo Nursing Care Model for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating care.
• Provide leadership through preceptor roles and quality improvement efforts.
• Delegate patient care based on skill, acuity, resources and fiscal accountability.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and mentoring; participate on committees or projects.
