Job summary

Dignity Health at Mercy Hospital of Folsom is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in the Labor & Delivery unit. You will perform assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Required: 1 year in Labor & Delivery, CA RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months and NRP within 6 months; C/Section/PACU experience preferred. A $15,000 Sign-On Bonus is available for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring experience.
• Active Registered Nurse license in California.
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association, within 6 - months
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 - months

Responsibilities

• Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
• Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
• Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
• Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
• Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.
• Precepting/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments.
