The RN I position requires an RN license in Virginia or eligibility, BLS certification, and preferred AC BSN with a focus on obstetric care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or eligible to practice in VA.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred for Labor & Delivery.
• Relevant specialty certification is preferred.
• Pharmacology coursework required for Labor & Delivery nurses.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Ensure quality communication, teamwork and professional leadership.
• Direct, coordinate and deliver patient teaching and safety initiatives.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and complete annual competencies and ladder requirements.
