Job summary

Adventist Health Bakersfield is seeking a registered nurse to deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or group of patients. You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and develop care plans under established standards.

The role requires active RN licensure in the state of practice, CPR/BLS certification, and additional per-policy credentials such as ACLS/NRP and FHM. A BSN is preferred for consideration.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred as educational requirement.
• Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by policy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required by facility policy.
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS is required.
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) is required.
• AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS is required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards and nursing process.
• Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines.
• Develops, implements and evaluates patient care plans; promotes safe environment and patient education.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
