Job summary

Salinas Valley Health is seeking a Staff Nurse II/III for Labor & Delivery on a per diem basis. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with physicians and the health-care team while ensuring age-appropriate care. This role may rotate to other units as needed and acts as preceptor/charge nurse as assigned.

Requires CA RN license, BLS, and 12+ months acute care RN experience. Per diem schedule, day shift, with union CNA, and pay range $89.37–$103.45 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 12 months RN experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient and documents appropriately.
• Develops an individualized plan of care.
• Collaborates with physicians and health-team members to implement care.
• Initiates discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
