Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery in Grove City, OH. The RN will care for moms and newborns from labor through postpartum, using evidence-based nursing processes and collaborating with the care team.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS/CPR, and experience with EMR/charting. Responsibilities include patient assessment, procedures, medication administration, and education of patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team.
• Basic computer skills; EMR charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, using evidence-based practice.
• Assist providers with patient assessment, examinations and treatments.
• Perform basic medical procedures under provider supervision, including set up of procedures.
• Administer medications under the provider’s direction according to policies and guidelines.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and procedures.
